Texan Pitmasters are world famous. They traditionally dry rub their meats with unique sweet and savory seasonings before smoking over oak, hickory or mesquite woods.
Peach Spice Co's Warm Smoky Rub comes from this tradition. It is a mild rub with smoky notes of paprika, the european tastes of onion and garlic, the sweet touches of mustard and the spicy zest of Ginger.
Simply sprinkle our mild Texan style dry rub on brisket or chicken before smoking on mesquite chips for that authentic Texan BBQ taste.
History
Texas and BBQ go hand in hand. The tradition dates back to the mid-nineteenth century when German, Dutch and Czech immigrants settled in central Texas bringing their love of spices, brisket, ribs and sausages with them. These new settlers knew that their meats would last longer if they smoked them and hence the smoky BBQ tradition was born. They later coupled this smoky BBQ with European treats such as the Apple Pie and Tex Mex creating a uniquely Texan taste that is seasoned in a very different way to the rest of the USA.
